Barbara, meet Brel !
Friday 22nd January 2016 - Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne
Barbara would be celebrating her 90th birthday in 2020, and the Ensemble Aedes has chosen to pay her homage in the form of an encounter between her music and Jacques Brel’s, inviting contemporary composers to rework some of the two artists’ greatest hits. The best of French chanson set by the best of a cappella choral composers. In Jean- Michel Fournereau’s moving staging, the Ensemble Aedes sings, dances and acts these songs of love and loss.
